IN OCTOBER — the aftermath of the war is spent rejuvenating the region. pokemon and trainers are hard at work, repairing natural landscapes, while clearing fields and mountains of macabre remnants. still, pools of poison remain where naganadel and poipole have fallen... until they are cleaned, poor unsuspecting wildlife may find themselves within these toxic traps, forcing them to become aggressive and hostile.[break][break][break]

in the middle of a christmas photoshoot, a sceptile has suddenly mega evolved, perhaps, due to the residual radiation left by the ultra wormholes of the war. it has become incredibly aggressive, slashing with CROSS POISON using its claws. however, someone has discovered that the sceptile may be able to be calmed by praising it and by appealing to its vain nature. decorate the sceptile like a christmas tree—and tell the sceptile that it's pretty![break][break][break]

Fernando's Delibird keeps its distance from the rampaging Sceptile until told otherwise. Those around it plead for the handlers to try and refrain from harming it. They deliberate between a plan on appealing to the Pokemon's personality flaw to lower its guard. In a show of respect, he listens to their strategy plan, until he determines it both unsuitable and inefficient.

"Execute."

A tantrum is meant to be met with reprimands. The PRESENT the Delbird offers looks disarming at first glance but once it opens up it explodes.

Christmas. It was too early for Christmas! It wasn't even November yet! She sighed, simply rolling her eyes. It was inevitable, really. Christmas made money, so they'd prepare as soon as they could for it. However, the sudden mega-evolution of the Sceptile certainly caused quite a few problems.

As soon as it was decided that praising the Sceptile was the best way to calm it down, Ruby couldn't help but roll her eyes and chuckle as she sent out her Starmie. "Shine a SPOTLIGHT on him, let his true beauty really shine out!"

Starmie spun around in place for a second before its red gem suddenly let loose an incredibly bright light, letting everyone see the Sceptile and keep him the absolute center of attention in the room. Honestly, it was hard to even look away from the light. No wonder the move attracts attacks of other pokemon. Hopefully, the show can go on!

Cottonee gleefully dances around Katherine, as if the two of them aren’t here for official business. It’s appreciative of this opportunity, and it shows with how he’d been spreading shimmering fairy dust wherever it could.

This Pokemon believed that happiness is meant to be shared with others, and it’s the sole reason as to why it had been taken out of its capsule. It could easily accomplish their task.

In an attempt of sharing this joy, Cottonee sends a NATURAL GIFT in the direction of the mega-evolved Sceptile. When it lands in front of the grass-type and explodes into a puddle of fae dust, the fairy-type bursts into a fit of giggles.

Katherine appears to be less amused, however, she still approves of her partner’s actions.

Josh didn't really understand the logic that they were claiming, but the rampaging Mega Sceptile was apparently quite vain. While he could go toe to toe with it using his Mega Charizard, that would cause even more destruction. So having his Nidorino use Flatter was the way to go.

And the Nidorino didn't look amused about it in the slightest. Still, it cleared its throat before taking a confident demeanor, showering the Sceptile in compliments about how good its new form looked!

Hopefully that wouldn't backfire.
